I have painted since 1974. My paintings is about freedom and Love. To paint or be creative is one of my goals of my life. Freedom to express what is in my heart has been possible as I live in Denmark.
The main conflict in my paintings has been willpower and the contradiction between Dionysos and Apollon as personal dilemmas..
The conflict between the two greek ancient goods has ended for me and Apollon has won i hope,. with the help of Christ.
I have had someexhibitions and am educated in Holbek ArtHighschool, Aarhus Art academy, The Picture School in Aarhus, Dalgas ArtSchool. Made townplanning in Northern part of Denmark 1972. I am born in 1949. Have been a teacher in mathand physics.
I belive that beauty of the nature and the love for vibrant colors can be assimilated in those who looks at my art.
Dionysus
In his The Birth of Tragedy, the philosopher Nietzsche divided Greek tragedy into two aspects, the Apollonian and the Dionysian. Rational thought, order, and individualism are Apollonian. Ecstasy (standing out of oneself) and enth(o)usiasm (having the god within), disorder and irrationality are components of the Dionysian. Nietzsche felt that both the Apollonian and Dionysian components were necessary both to (Greek) culture and to individuals. It is fairly easy to name examples from popular culture who seem to fit an Apollonian stereotype -- Star Trek Next Generation's android Cmdr Data jumps to mind. What/Who would be a good example of a Dionysian?

Jeg har malet siden 1979. Malerierne jeg maler er om frihed og kærlighed form og farver. Maletilstanden er der hvor jeg glemmer mig selv. Nogle af temaerne i mine malerier er kampen mod absurditet. Malerierne viser kampen mellem Dionysos og Apollon. mellem orden og kaos. Motivvalget har været præget af beundring af den skønhed jeg ser hos kvinder. Jeg har haft den del udstillinger og fået undervisning på Holbæk Kunsthøjskole, Aarhus Kunstakademi, Skolen for billedkunst og Dalgasskolens kunst højskole. Jeg har beskæftiget mig med byplanlægning i Nordjylland i 1972. Har været lærer bl.a. i matematik. Jeg håber at glæden over farver og former kan være en inspiration for andre til at være skabende.
