2. sunday in Advent

Matt. 25, 1 - 13

"At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. "At midnight the cry rang out: `Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!' "Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, `Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.' "`No,' they replied, `there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.' "But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. "Later the others also came. `Sir! Sir!' they said. `Open the door for us!' "But he replied, `I tell you the truth, I don't know you.' "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

So it is. We dont know when someone is shouting: Now there is a feast. Its now. Then we are busy and we are not prepared.

What do we have to be prepared at.

The coming of Christ on earth.

We dont know the time. We dont where

We dont know how.

We are all sinners. We are not prepared.

Thats the words for us today. But luckily we are Gods children. We are loved by God.

Christ took our sins away and we dont have to act like the foolish virgins cause we are foolish. But Christ gave us a gift. A Christmas gift. It was expensive for him. He gave his life for us. So that we can live and not be dead. So that we do not come to a close door and cannot come in.

God loves us.

God loves every human being nevertheless if he believes in God or not.

So enormous is Gods Love that he loves also the stupid ones who do not have oil on their lamps.

God story is a complex story.

He was born and he died for us. Cause he loves us.

The story we have heard of Jesus today is a story that tells us that not all that are invited comes to the feast.

So it is.

But thats not the last last word of our Lord.

The last word is the hole story. And we know how it ended.

Christ resurrected and is still alive. To call sinners.

And sinners are all us that doesnt believe in God.

But God believe in us.

No sin is so big that the dying on the cross cannot take it away.

So dont fear. God loves you.

Keep praying: God loves me

It takest away the thoughts that is tormenting you. Your inner stream of conciousness is perhaps killing you. Put some words of God instead. Talk to God. God is inside you. God loves you. You are not Christ. You are a part of the living Jesus who is among us.

Say to yourself that God loves you. Keep going.

Only God is perfect. He will answer your prayers. But he is a hard Lord. He answer in a way you do not expect.

But in front of you is the Light of God.

Believe it or not it is there.
